Constructed in 2013 by the City of Onkaparinga as part of stage 2 of its Water Proofing the South initiative, this now established wetland consists of 9 ponds, surrounded by gravel paths with several bridges. The area has been fully revegetated. To the north is the Reynella East Children's Forest, a joint initiative of the Reynella East School, the Onkaparinga Catchment Water Management Board, the S.A. Urban Forest Biodiversity Program, and the City of Onkaparinga. Keep an eye out for the 119 Bird species recorded so far visiting the wetlands, including the endangered Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoos. Visit after dark and see if you can find the Common Ring-tailed Possums.
