80 Acres is one of the few remaining large open spaces within metropolitan Adelaide that contains significant areas of remnant vegetation, high conservation plant species and a vast diversity of habitats. Traditionally owned by the Kaurna people, the area occupied by the park and its surrounds was used by Europeans as agricultural land during the 1830s. Informal walking trails run several directions through the park allowing access to its dense woodland. Many local species call this park home.
